Shifting senses: TO EAT A TABLE

What if we go out of the frame of what is considered as a tool and a food? What lies outside of it? By blurring the tool and the food with rice paper, it questions what is left after we eat the whole table?

The concept is to deconstruct the sensory-based beliefs we’ve built throughout our lives shaped by institutional education or any societal frameworks. As functionality is often praised, the shapes of the tools are made based on the functionality for human to easily learn and use it. Within this framework, we naturally associate function and the use of a tool or a technique by its shape or form. At the same time, it is an ecological way to experience dining.
