Behoorlijk Kakofoon
‘Behoorlijk Kakofoon’ is a performance with tape loops that forces you to listen to the sound we hear every day. By repeating and amplifying mundane sounds we all recognize in an analogue way this performance tries to let you perceive sounds less passively. kkkggggkkkkkkkbrrrrrrrbbbooooppppppkkrrrrrgggggg.

Elin Mensinga (2002) is a graphic designer and sound artist based in Arnhem, The Netherlands who works with sound, performance and printed matter. In my work I really value the development of concept. Creating a good narrative and trying to find the best visual language for this. The design is everything, from thought to product. I try to not only blur the lines between sight and sound but also invite audiences to explore new dimensions of perception. As part of the Collective Wasem we try to create a platform for people to explore sound in unconventional ways. No music, just sound.
