Do you remember the first time you were aware of the idea that the people you meet in your life are somewhat strangely connected to you as of right now? Or maybe you haven’t thought about it at all. In my work as a multidisciplinary artist and researcher, I explore how one’s personal identity can be most prominent through memory and the passing of time. My body of work plays with the connection that memory and time hold to the human body, combining elements of space and language to investigate this connection of memory and the passing of time through bodily interactions. I want my body of work to serve as an invitation to surrender to the liminality of life, to give over to the idea that we are connected to something that is bigger than the self, and that what is gone doesn’t necessarily mean that it is lost.
