‘INTRUSE’ is a compelling installation entirely self-made by Marley van Baaren, from the floor to the ceiling, establishing a seamless connection throughout. This work represents a fusion of art and technology, transcending mere visual representation to offer an immersive experience. The installation features black forms emerging from multiple surfaces, intricately interwoven with tubes transporting liquid powered by various pumps.

Embedded within the walls is a curated soundscape, enhancing the sensory immersion and prompting viewers to engage with the dynamic interplay of form, movement, and sound. “Intruse” is not merely a static artwork; it invites interpretation and personal reflection. Marley intentionally refrains from defining its narrative, preferring to allow viewers the freedom to interpret and connect with the installation through their own creativity and perceptions.

Through ‘INTRUSE’, Marley challenges viewers to contemplate the relationship between artificiality and organic forms, and to explore their own interpretations of the installation’s underlying narrative and thematic elements.

ARTIST BIO

Marley van Baaren grew up in a small village, where her love for creativity blossomed. For her, art is a universal language—a medium to tell stories and question the world. With a degree in Docent Beeldende Kunst en Vormgeving (DBKV), she has developed a distinctive voice. Specializing in installations and sculptures, Marley integrates technology, creating innovative art that blends materials and techniques. Although early in her career, she is making her mark through exhibitions. Marley aims to create groundbreaking works and inspire the next generation of artists, sharing her passion for creativity.
