Burnt Filters – Reality of Mind

Art is meant to challenge our usual way of looking at the world. Liberated from understanding, we can discover a new reality hidden in our surroundings.

Reality and its understanding can be broken down into different layers, in the same way, this project can be experienced in different ways: covering one or the other projector, various messages and details of the visuals are shown; similarly, the project can be enjoyed with or without audio. The choice of interaction is left to the user, who can experience reality/the project at any layer they are most comfortable at.

In the audio recording, I narrate my side of the story: the adventure of someone diving deeper into this forest that is the mind, trying to make sense of the many new, indescribable discoveries. The protagonist is at times brave, at times scared, but the words of poets and a guide are there to reassure him that everything is fine and that this experience is part of reality too, although it’s a side of it we often don’t see. One is left to wonder whether the guide is a person, a higher being or just thoughts in the protagonist’s mind.

Break away from the axioms, shatter the old beliefs and create a new connection with the universe! The world is waiting for you.

ARTIST BIO

  • Adventurous and kind. I feel driven in life by art and the world around me. My goal is to bring something back into the world either by drawing, filming or coding, but I will always find one new, weird interest to mix things up. Most of my projects start with philosophical questions and end with wild adventures into the unknown. Life is a constant journey and art is my way to document that and let people interact with the discoveries, to stimulate a dialogue and growth in the communities and individuals.
