‘Digital Oasis’ features soothing and calming visuals combined with surreal elements, enhancing comfort whilst stimulating serene curiosity. This installation is set in a space where digital and physical intersect, to form a harmonious and tranquil environment.
The visuals begin with a comforting sunrise gradually transitioning into an evening tranquillity towards the end of the experience. One wall displays the projection, while the opposite wall reflects it, giving viewers the option to choose which reality they wish to observe. The installation invites visitors to sit, take a deep breath, and find appreciation and relaxation within their surroundings and the surreal natural world.

Marie Blanchard is an artist with French and German roots based in Arnhem, Netherlands, and Paris, France. She grew up in Hamburg, Germany, before living in Moscow, Russia, and Seoul, Korea, where she graduated from Dulwich College Seoul. Marie moved to Arnhem to study Graphic Design at ArtEZ but found it too standardized, leading her to self-teach animation, 3D, and projection mapping with tools like Cinema4D, Blender, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Resolume, and TouchDesigner. Marie’s early interest in art was fueled by her fascination with animated advertisements, leading to a passion for 3D media. Her graduation project, which combined 3D animated visuals with an installation, marked a significant turning point in her profession. Her current style blends hyper-realism with surreal elements, enhancing the visual impact of her work.
