‘We’re surrounded by objects. We use them, discard them, forget them. But what if the everyday things we overlook say more about us than we realise?’

OBJKT-X is a jewellery collection that explores how mass-produced, everyday objects can be reimagined as personal expressions of identity. In an age of fast consumption, many objects lose their individuality and emotional resonance. They become disposable, overlooked, and disconnected from personal meaning. Yet even the most ordinary objects can carry stories, evoke memories, and reflect aspects of who we are.

The concept behind OBJKT-X challenges this loss of meaning by transforming familiar, mass-produced objects into character-like brooches. I carefully select objects based on their iconic form, material, and visual familiarity. I analyse how these objects can represent identity. Through digital collage techniques, I create compositions that blur the line between object and persona, inviting a new way of seeing the everyday.

The selected designs are then modelled and plated in copper or silver. By transforming these objects into jewellery, OBJKT-X invites us to see what we usually overlook. Each piece challenges the viewer to reconnect with the objects around them, recognising that even the most ordinary things can become meaningful and personal when viewed through a different lens.
